Flowers play a significant role in the decoration of temples, statues, and monuments, and are also used as offerings in religious ceremonies. "Pluie de Fleurs" is a ritual in which flower petals such as jasmine, gardenia, lily, freesia, and hibiscus are steeped in fresh water. This ritual bestows softness and radiance upon Balinese women.
